various aquatics meet too. After successfully completing his
12th std board exam he started dreaming of swimming in the
English Channel and the strait of Gibraltar. Sea swimming
was a bigger challenge. But he was very determined and
confident about it. He started practicing day in and day out
to pursue his dream. In the month of January 2014 he
completed a 35 km swim between Dharmtar and gateway of
India. He had to face a rough sea and very poor visibility
during the swim which made him more confident.
Practicing at Dover, he met a big jelly fish during his
qualifying swim, but he did not move a bit and kept on going
and going ahead. He swam 12hrs 42min to cross the English
Channel in the first week of august. Then he went to Spain
to complete the swim across strait of Gibraltar. He started
at Tarifa island and swam for 3hrs 16min upto the Morocco
coast in South Africa. He became the fastest Asian to swim
the strait as the earlier record was 3hrs 20min and that too
by an Indian.

Recently in the month of June we took a session for the judo
coaches held by Maharashtra Judo Association. We are happy
to announce that there were almost 125 coaches from all over
Maharashtra who attended the session with lot of interest.
It was for the first time that such a seminar was organised
for coaches on sports psychology.
Victory Judo Sports association is another club which needs
a mention here. We conduct regular sessions for judo players
but we conduct sessions even for parents.
